Who is Matt Sims anyway?
Hey, thanks for asking.
I’ve been around 43 years and counting, 23 of those years solving business problems for clients – either as an employee of a firm, or as a business owner myself.
My passion is connecting with, and helping people find better ways to do things; especially when it involves communicating their ideas.

I spent 15 years in the telecommunications industry working for several large companies including Bell Canada in Toronto, and Lucent Technologies in Vancouver. While in these roles I worked on opportunities and projects worth hundreds of millions of dollars, and had responsibility for significant strategic goals. These were formative years that taught me much about the workings of the business world, and more importantly, about the people that make business work.
Those years also honed my professionalism and communication skills, which I consider my greatest assets.
Eventually I craved more experiences than the corporate world had to offer at the time, so I decided to pursue my entrepreneurial dreams. Seven years (and a few bruises) later I think I’m starting to figure it out. Working for yourself is much harder than working for a big company, but it pays well in meaningful ways.
I live in Victoria BC with two beautiful crazy kids and an amazingly supportive wife – how I got so lucky I’ll never know, but I’m grateful for it all.
